New Writing Courses This Fall

Fiction, Memoir, Humor, and How To Get A Book Deal The Easy Way

Hi, everyone! I want to let you know about four upcoming courses we’re running through The Unspeakeasy School of Thought, the official educational wing of The Unspeakeasy. (A coed institution.) Spoiler alert: one of them is taught by  . . . me.

Workshops begin the week of October 28,  take place on Zoom, and run for eight weeks. They are designed for intermediate to advanced level students.) Click the buttons below for more information and the application. 

Workshops are limited to nine students. This is an incredible opportunity to work closely with celebrated writers who are terrific teachers.

Anything Goes! (If You Do It Really Well) Fiction workshop taught by acclaimed novelist Caeli Widger

Eight consecutive Wednesdays, October 30 through December 18, 4:30 to 6:30pm PT.

Writing Humor In Humorless Times Humor course taught by a master of the form, Neal Pollack 

Eight consecutive Tuesdays, October 29 through December 17, 5-7pm PT.

Making Memoir Matter Personal essay and memoir workshop taught by Meghan Daum

Eight consecutive Mondays, October 28 through December 16, 12-2pm.
