Point of order: Biden did give credit to Trump for the vaccine, multiple times. Here's one from before he even took office (and before Trump tried to overthrow the peaceful transfer of power):
This shows the asymmetry of political communication. On the right there is an organized ecosystem that sets up and reinforces narratives for their politicians. A GOP politician only needs to say something once, if even that, and can count on the right wing media to repeat that message over and over and over again, either directly or indirectly through attacks on the left.
There is, unquestionably, a good deal of confusion around COVID. The CDC has fumbled the ball on messaging. (Sometimes reversing themselves within a 48 hour period.).
I was hoping for a glimmer of clarity from this podcast. I found just the opposite: more confusion. Ms. Bienen’s posing of questions which she then answered in the affirmative, the negative, and, also, the conditional was less than helpful.
