For what it’s worth, I’ll keep using the audio version. But I hope you give us an update in a few months or so as to whether or not the You Tube helps you.

Meghan, I love that you're always switching it up. I have an idea for a retreat space. How do I contact you? Thank you, El

Hi Kathleen, I sent an email with retreat suggestion to the above address but just now realized I used my other email not associated with my subscription. When you have a moment, if you could please let me know if you received it I would appreciate it. Thank you!

Wow, so exciting!! Now if we can only get Substack to go back to the old voice bc I cannot stand this fake ass one they added. It’s making me miserable!!

Ps. You inspired me to send a message to Substack, which I didn’t know you could do until I actually dug around the settings just now. Thanks!

When you listen to the article (rather than reading it). Dictation is it called? Sorry I should have been more clear.

Substack used to use a straight robotic voice and now they switched it to a robotic voice that’s trying to sound human and it made it worse.

The new robotic voice tries to use emotional emphasis and certain tones when dictating, but it really takes away from the article (for me). When it’s strictly robotic then the emotional interpretation can still be left up to me, not a robot.

Only when a book is being read by a real actor do I appreciate a non-robotic-sounding voice. But when the robot tries to sound human, that’s when it fails. Give me robot or human but not the combo!
